Colorado was COLD the weekend I got the chance to visit- like, bone-chilling, frostbite-warning, can’t-feel-your-fingers kind of cold. Living in Central Oregon for the last few years, I thought I had a pretty good handle on winter weather, but Breckenridge had other plans. At one point, it was -4 degrees, and let me tell you- I felt every single one of those degrees. But honestly? The cold was just a small part of the experience, because this photoshoot was huge for me. It was my FIRST time traveling to Colorado for photography, and that alone made it feel extra special. The excitement of exploring somewhere new, mixed with the pure magic of a snowy mountain elopement, made every frozen fingertip so worth it. Our first location was a dream—a peaceful aspen grove surrounded by a wide, untouched snowy clearing. The trees stood tall against the winter sky, their bare branches creating the most stunning contrast against the snow-covered ground. We didn’t rush. We took our time, soaking in the crisp air, the beauty of the landscape, and the joy of simply being present in the moment.
