As a Bend, Oregon photographer who loves a good ole destination elopement, traveling to Big Sur for this intimate celebration was pure magic. There’s something special about capturing love stories in breathtaking locations, and Big Sur’s towering redwoods and quiet charm provided the perfect backdrop for this adventurous couple's commitment to forever. Pehton originally reached out to me with the idea of surprising her (then) girlfriend with a proposal. When we hopped on a call to plan the perfect moment, she suddenly said, “Actually… let’s talk elopements.” And just like that, the vision shifted into something even more incredible. I was beyond stoked when she shared their plan- to secretly elope, just the two of them and two best friends, and later surprise their family with the photos. There was something so deeply personal and exciting about the way they chose to say "I do"- on their own terms, in a place that felt like pure magic.
