OH, to think that finding a private, intimate setting at Smith Rock in Central Oregon was even possible?! It’s true, though! If you’re willing to rise early for a sunrise shoot and climb a ladder bolted into a boulder for your Smith Rock elopement, then count me in as your photographer! That morning was the perfect balance of adventure, intimacy, and just pure magic. The soft glow of the rising sun kissed the rock formations, and the quiet of the morning made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was such a unique and special experience, and it perfectly reflected Kiefer and Austin's adventurous spirit.
Kiefer and Austin’s love story is one for the books. They met on Tinder shortly after Kiefer had professional portraits taken for her profile- great idea, right? Well, now they’re married, so we can definitely say those portraits worked out well! Their connection was instant, and they quickly realized they shared a passion for the outdoors, adventure, and capturing those wild moments in life that feel so rare and fleeting.
When it came time for their elopement, there was no question that Smith Rock would be the perfect spot. The combination of dramatic cliffs, expansive views, and quiet, early-morning peace made it an ideal backdrop for their vows. And let me tell you, the moment they stepped onto that rock, surrounded by nothing but nature and each other, was nothing short of magical. They were surrounded by the natural beauty of Central Oregon, and yet, it felt like the world had paused just for them.
Who wouldn’t want to go hiking, climbing, and photographing? There’s something so freeing about eloping in a place like this—pushing your boundaries while embracing the intimate connection you have with your partner and the world around you. The whole experience was adventurous and beautiful in every way, and I’m so honored to have been there to capture it.
