Snowy Bend Couples Photoshoot

Snow is magical. There’s just something about it—I don’t even have the words to fully explain it. But if you’ve ever stood in the middle of a quiet, snow-covered landscape, you know exactly what I mean. The way everything is blanketed in soft, untouched white, the way the world seems to slow down, the way the light reflects off the snow to create the most dreamy, glowing effect- it’s pure magic. And as a photographer, let me tell you, it’s the perfect backdrop for a couples photoshoot. The soft light, the wintery romance, the cozy bundled-up moments—it all comes together beautifully. But oh yeah, IT’S COLD.

When Brett and Jenny reached out about a couples photoshoot in their new snowy town of Bend, Oregon, I was so excited to make it happen for them. There’s something extra special about capturing a couple in a place that feels like home, and they wanted to celebrate this new chapter of their lives by embracing the winter wonderland around them. The best part? We didn’t have to drive far at all to find the perfect setting. Right inside of Bend, we found a breathtaking spot that made it feel like we had stepped into a postcard—towering evergreens dusted with fresh snow, soft flakes falling around us, and the quiet stillness that only winter can bring.

Now, if you’ve ever done a photoshoot in the snow, you know it’s all about staying warm so you can actually enjoy the experience (and not just shiver through it). I gave Brett and Jenny a little pre-session pep talk, reminding them to bring the warmest, coziest coats they had and gloves to throw on in between shots. We took plenty of breaks—not just to warm up, but to keep the energy high and the session fun. Because let’s be real, the best photos come from feeling comfortable and relaxed, not from battling the cold.

And hey, I might have a few tricks up my sleeve, too. I may or may not stash hand warmers in my camera backpack for my couples—but you’ll have to find that out for yourself! 😉

Brett and Jenny absolutely nailed their session, embracing the cold and making the most of the cozy, romantic winter vibes. If you’re dreaming of a snow-filled couples photoshoot, I’m always down to bundle up and capture the magic with you. Let’s make it happen! ❄️✨
